Loryn Schlinker

Loryn Schlinker was born and raised on her family’s third-generation dairy farm, Stakenas Farms Inc., in Freesoil, Michigan, a town with more cows than people. Growing up surrounded by her mother and grandmothers, Loryn learned early that success comes from hard work, quick wit, and a strong sense of community. Those lessons still guide her approach to every case she takes on today.

Before joining Shibley Law, Loryn built her career serving clients who couldn’t afford legal representation. Through her work with organizations like Every Woman’s Place, the Grand Rapids Urban League, and criminal expungement programs, she saw firsthand the challenges people face when going up against insurance companies, landlords, and large institutions. That experience shaped her passion for standing up for individuals and families who need a trusted advocate on their side.

Loryn focuses her practice on motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall cases, dog bite injuries, and premises liability claims. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, where she frequently handles disputes involving conflicting auto and health insurance coverage.
